David-Michael Dunbar: Concert Pianist, Composer and Teacher.
David-Michael Went to Westbrook House. September 1963-1967.
Bethany School in Kent: 1967-1968.
1969-1971 went to the Purcell School for young musicians in London England. Where David-Michael, covered the broad field of
musical subjects with Graham Treacher. He also studied with Iris du Pré, mother of Jacqueline du Pré the British Cellist.
David-Michael Dunbar Studied the piano with the Czech pianist Eva Bernahova and with Ilona Kabos.
Artur Rubinstein gave him great encouragement when he played in Cardiff Wales in 1974. David-Michael Dunbar is now resident
of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Where he continues to teach music.
David-Michael Dunbar made his Canadian debut as a concert pianist in Canada with acclaimed success in 1979. Raffi Armenian
Conductor of the KW Symphony Orchestra, was of great help to David-Michael Dunbar when he arrived in Canada and endorsed his
Canadian debut concert in 1979. In 1980 he released a record called “David Dunbar in Concert” and together with
his musical compositions published to very good reviews.
David-Michael Dunbar has appeared and performed on Canadian Television and Radio. David-Michael has also played his piano
compositions on the Radio in Canada.
